This amazing tour is intended for the active nature enthusiast (12+) as you will be biking, hiking, canopy zip lining, white water rafting, ocean paddling and much more! Here is a brief itinerary breakdown:
Day 1: Arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica (No meals.)
Overnight at El Rodeo Hotel (superior room).
Day 2: Pacific Coast Biking & Paddling (B,L,D)
Early breakfast and drive with your Multisport Guide to the village of Orotina for a 19.4-mile bike ride (31 kms) to the coast. Total biking time is about three hours. Change to outrigger canoes and paddle to a beach to snorkel or relax. Lunch on the beach. Overnight at Villa Lapas Hotel.
Day 3: Villa Lapas / Cristal Ballena / Zip-line Tour (B,L,D)
20 min. ride to the Jaco area for the Waterfalls Canopy Tour. Overnight at Cristal Ballena Hotel.
Day 4: Snorkeling and Hiking on Caño Island (B,L,D)
Full day of snorkeling and hiking at Caño Island, once a pirate hideout. Not only do the waters surrounding Caño Island contain some of the most abundant and varied marine life in the world, but the island also possesses several pre-Colombian archeological artifacts. Overnight at Cristal Ballena.
Day 5: Cristal Ballena / Savegre Mountain Lodge (B,L,D)
Early morning bike ride (2 hours). Distance is about 22 miles (35 kms). Then drive to Nauyaca Waterfalls (15 mins.) for a swim and lunch. Overnight at Savegre Mountain Lodge.
Day 6: Cerro de la Muerte Hike (B,L,D)
After an early breakfast, depart by bus for the Cerro de la Muerte Hike (5-7 hours). Box lunch included. Overnight at Savegre Lodge.
Day 7: Savegre / Pacuare - White Water Rafting (B,L,D)
Drive to the put-in location on the Pacuare River (about 3-1/2 hours). The Pacuare is one of the most beautiful river canyons in the tropics. River time about 4 hours. Return to San José (2 hours) Overnight at El Rodeo Hotel.
Day 8: Departure (B)
Transfer to the International Airport by bus or van, arriving about two hours before your flight’s scheduled departure.
