Silver Bike Tours offers some amazing tours through the North Western States. These accessible tours take you through winding valleys, over trestle bridges, and through some of the historic rail tunnels. Their premier self guided your is called the “Tri-State Spectacular” and, as you may have guessed, it takes you through Montana, Idaho and Washington.

Here is their description of the tour:

Tour Snapshot…
Your first day of cycling takes you from downtown Spokane, Washington through Riverside State Park along the Spokane River Gorge. You wind across bike pedestrian bridges over the surging river. Vistas overlook the river and the city of Spokane among huge basalt outcroppings and shear cliffs with swallows nesting. You may see moose, deer and a large array of birds including osprey, blue heron and bald eagle only a 10 minute bicycle ride from downtown. The next day you follow the Centennial Trail along the shimmering Spokane River to the resort town of Coeur d’ Alene.

Serentity Abounds!

In Idaho you are guaranteed to experience every shade of lush green, the marvels of mountains and marshland, birds of bright feather with blue heron and bald eagles flying overhead, and perhaps moose swimming lakes, deer romping through fields and, maybe even a live turtle and Canadian geese sharing your groomed trail. From views of snow clad mountains to the historic Silver Valley villages, to riding the shorelines of lakes and rivers. Ride up the Chatcolet Bridge to rest and savor the spectacular scenery of shimmering waters and slowly motoring pleasure boats.
