The Kayak is the King of the White Water
September 10, 2008

With the inclusion of the white water slalom in the Olympics, there has been a spike of interest in White Water Kayaking. This sport combines the adrenaline pumping intensity of rafting with the freedom to maneuver and take rapids the way you want. This freedom has taken the sport in many different directions, from almost gymnastic rafting in one location, to high speed races through treacherous terrain.
While this all may sound intimidating, there are some Amazing Tour companies that offer training programs to help ease the “boof“.
If you have a chance to go to Virginia, you should go to the ACE Adventure Centre. This company offer training and tours ranging from beginner all the way to advanced, which will take you down some pretty extreme waters. I reccomend taking the course on how to flip back up if you find yourself underwater, but that is just me
.
With prices starting at $120 per day when there are 4 people in a group, this could be the adrenaline adventure you have been waiting for!
